Mir Qamaruddin Mint Dehlvi and Manaqib-e Mashaikh

Abstract
Mir Qamaruddin, Surnamed “Minat”, was a native of Sonipat (near Panipat) and educated in Delhi. He studied all the text books under Hazrat Shah Abdul Aziz. He was a student of Mir Shams-u-din in Persian and Sheikh Qiyam-u-din in Urdu. Minat wrote excellent poetry in both Urdu and Persian, but his inclination was more towards Persian Poetry. He was burried in Calcutta. His notable works include a Persian Diwan, a few MASNAVIS and SAKRISTAN which was written in response to Gulistan. Minat Dehlvi was brought up in an era of knowledge, mysticism, literature and poetry. His love for Ahl al-Bayt is a prominent aspect of his personality reflected in his Persian Diwan. In 2010 AD, his Farsi Diwan edited by Dr. Shoaib Ahmad, was published by Oriental College, Punjab University, Lahore.
