The poetry of Hazrat Sultan Bahu, a revered Sufi saint and poet of the 17th century, is deeply imbued with Quranic allusions, reflecting his profound spiritual insight and devotion to Islam. This paper examines the significance of these allusions in his Persian poetry, exploring how they enrich the mystical dimensions of his verses. By employing keywords such as Hazrat Sultan Bahu, Persian poetry, Qura’nic allusions, Sufism, and spirituality, the study delves into the intricate interplay between Qura’nic motifs and poetic expression in Bahu’s works, shedding light on the spiritual resonance and universal appeal of his poetry. By nature, a mystic can access a state of consciousness that is beyond the usual awareness of humanity. There have been many renowned Sufis saints in the world whose teachings have been very influential in cultivating social harmony.
This paper will examine the influence and impact of the Holy Qur’an on the verses of the venerable saint Sultan Bahu (R.A) who was a great Sufi master, mystic, prolific writer, and saint and his high spiritual station among the saints of Punjab This article will have argued that his poetry plays an imperative rule to improve the moral values of society which have been deliberately or unfortunately lost during the last hundred years.
